Important Information For September 2024

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED TO BE A STUDENT AT ST. BASIL

Chaplaincy

Come to the Chapel for quiet prayer.  Every Thursday from     3-4 pm, we have YEA DAY, which stands for Youth Eucharistic Adoration.  Jesus tells us, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"

 (Matt 11:28).

St. Basil-the-Great was born at Caesarea in Cappadocia, today part of modern-day Turkey, around 300 and died there in 379. He  is usually regarded as the founder of Eastern monasticism. St. Basil fought against Arianism – a heresy which denied the divinity of Christ. St. Basil reprimanded the rich to assist the needy. As an example he sold all of his own property to feed and care for the poor. In the way he lived his life and in everything he did, St. Basil exemplified our school motto:

Excelsa Petite

Strive

        for that which is great.

All Spiritual Retreats are held at the Marian Shrine of Gratitude. We focus on cultivating relationships with self, family, friends, and others in our community. The full day retreat is filled with activities to keep you busy.

We have school masses and classroom theme based liturgies organized by our Chaplaincy team of students.

Various religious events take place throughout the year to enrich your spiritual growth.

Need to talk about your beliefs?  See Ms. Vitiello anytime in the Chapel!
