Virtual School is designed to create an online community of learners. Our staff are eager to deliver curriculum in new and exciting ways to support our students in their engagement as they work towards earning credits.
The goal for us as a school community is simple: provide academic, social, emotional and spiritual support. However, now more than ever we understand how challenging that might be. As a Guidance Department, we want to remind you that we are here for you :)
Tips for students during distant learning are posted on the website and have been provided in a communication to your parents.
Attendance is important as this is a credit bearing program. By not participating, you may be jeopardizing the credit. The expectation is that you are logging in daily and participating regularly in all of your classes synchronously during class.
Your teachers will be monitoring attendance, so please ensure that you communicate any absences using the Safe Arrival App.
Please remember that even though the format is different, you are still in school and should follow the same rules and respect in dealing with staff and students alike. Any behaviour that is deemed inappropriate will be addressed on an individual basis. This includes behaviour outside of school hours.
