Our TCDSB community continues to reflect our Catholic values, rooted in the love of Christ. We each have a unique and important role to play in bringing our Pastoral Plan to life in our schools, offices, and the broader community. This three-year plan begins by deepening our understanding of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, our teacher and guide. Motivated by compassion, we strive to mirror Jesus’s love through actions that promote equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellness. Our new Pastoral Plan builds on the TCDSB’s prior pastoral plans and aligns with our Multi-Year Strategic Plan, the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations, Catholic Social Teachings, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Let us continue to demonstrate our commitment to student success, well-being, and devotion to our Catholic faith as we journey through the next three years.
Our commitment to our religious journey is marked by several important community-building traditions, including daily prayers, regular routine of liturgical celebrations, days of retreat and ministry to the community through food drives, Christmas Baskets and other initiatives throughout the school year. The Chaplain Leaders are always available to provide support to our students as we nurture the development of the whole child intellectually and spiritually.
Your Chaplaincy team is here to support you in any way they can!
+In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Loving God, you have created all of us in your image. And all that you have created is good and has a purpose. What an incredible honour and blessing. May you always be pleased with us, your creation.
Lead us forward into wholeness. May who we are, all we say, and all we do show the world your love, your desire for justice, your wish for peace. Help us grow in our understanding and knowledge of you. This is what you have given us to do.
As your hope-filled people, may our lives, our words and deeds always reflect your glory, O Lord. May we be encouraged by knowing that we were created to be like you, caring for one another and the earth. Give us minds and hearts open to your justice and hope - help us to trust you always. This is part of our likeness with you.
Our prayer together through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
