OYAP

• Final Applications must be submitted electronically through www.oyaptcdsb.com site using individual teacher accounts. Instructions at the bottom of the *attached (Working Copy) Application Form.

• Accelerated programs will run in Semester II (Quad 3 & Quad 4).

Applications are due Friday November 4^th 2022.

​IMPORTANT!!! Please Note:

• Students must be enrolled full-time in school, enrolled in 4 credit co-op Sem II, have completed all compulsory credits by the end of Sem I, and have a S.I.N.

• Graduated students under the age of 21 before June ​30th 2022, with 31 credits or less by the end of Sem I (Quad 1 &Quad 2), may apply.

• Accelerated OYAP is a challenging program. To meet with success, it is recommended that students have strong Literacy and/or Numeracy skills in relation to the program of interest.

• Some programs have specific course prerequisite requirements, and the strongest candidates are accepted according to seat availability.

Benefits for Accepted Participants: ​

- Able to complete up to 4 Cooperative Education credits towards their OSSD

- Earn hours/competencies toward a future apprenticeship

- Register as an apprentice

- ***Can complete all or part of their Level 1 (Basic) apprenticeship in a specific trade at a college or training institution while still in high school.

- May be eligible to earn up to 1, 2 or 3 Dual Credits
