University of Toronto is offering free summer programming specifically for Black youth.
Blueprint is an academic enrichment program designed for Black students interested in science and engineering. It is open to Canadian students currently in Grades 10 and 11 who identify as Black and are interested in pursuing careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The program includes four weeks of summer programming followed by year-long engagement.
Summer Program:
The summer program takes place in person at the University of Toronto’s St. George campus for four weeks in July. Students will explore design and innovation across engineering disciplines and participate in two engineering-focused summer courses, educational excursions, and community‑building events.
Year‑Long Engagement:
After the summer portion, students will continue in one of two engagement streams. Students entering Grade 11 will participate in Prepare, which focuses on leadership development and soft‑skill building. Students entering Grade 12 will participate in My Academic Preparation Sessions (MAPS), which supports university application planning and academic readiness.
There is still plenty of room for students interested in the program.
