Newcomer Video Competition
TCDSB is holding Newcomer Video competition. New students are encourage to participate!
Title/Focus: I Am a **Newcomer: The *Gifts I Bring to Canada (*includes skills, talents, culture, language, positive contributions)
Instructions: Create a group or individual 120 second video submission (landscape format). Submission examples include poem, songs, artwork, spoken word, song, skit, or monologue.
Six winning submissions will be chosen (1st, 2nd, 3rd for both panels). Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd are outlined below. The 6 best entries will be used to create a curated 4-minute video which will be shared with our teachers as part of their PD on knowing the students, equity and diversity.
Deadline: Friday, November 19, 2021 at 5 PM
**Newcomers are: Permanent residents, international students or Refugees who arrived in Canada from 2016-2021.
How to Submit
All entries should be uploaded on a google drive. Provide the link and give permission to jodelyn.huang@tcdsb.org to access your submission. The submission package should include the following information: Name, Grade, School, Group or Individual Entry, Media Release Form.
