Are you interested in test-driving a college program? Ever wonder what being a college student is like? No need to wonder anymore. Enroll in a dual credit course and become a college student…. while you’re still in secondary school!
Dual credit programs are programs approved by the Ministry of Education that allow students, while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship course that counts towards both their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree, or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.
Senior students from all TCDSB secondary schools have access to dual credit programs available each semester at Centennial, George Brown, Humber, and Seneca colleges. Students may earn up to 4 approved dual credits towards their OSSD.

Who is eligible?
This program is suited for students senior who may be facing challenges in completing the requirements for graduation, or may be feeling insecure or anxious about their pathway choice. Also eligible are students in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), where the dual credit can be part of Level 1 apprenticeship training.
How does it work?
Students attend classes on a college campus one afternoon a week for approximately 15 weeks. Upon successful completion of the college-delivered course, students earn both a college and secondary school credit which will count towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (elective credit). These is no cost to take a dual credit course and because students will be traveling to the college one afternoon a week, they will be provided with TTC tickets if necessary by their home schools.
