A student earns placement on the Father Henry Carr CSS Honour Roll by achieving an average of 80% or higher for courses taken during the academic school year. Students must have completed a full-time course load at Father Henry Carr for the school year to be eligible for Honour Roll.
Averages are calculated based on the following:
Grade 9, 10 & 11- Best of 8 credit courses
Grade 12- Best of 6 credit courses (minimum)
These awards recognize the student who receives the highest grade in any given course.

(GRADE 12 GRADUATING STUDENTS)
An Ontario Scholar is an honorary academic designation awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Education to high school graduates who achieve an average of 80% or higher in their top six Grade 12 courses. Grade 12 courses taken at any time during their secondary school enrollment are eligible for Ontario Scholar calculations.

The Catholic Student of the Year Award
A certificate is awarded to a graduating student who best embodies the Gospel values through their volunteer efforts and selfless giving of time.
The Father Henry Carr Spirit Award
A plaque is awarded to the graduating students who, through their enthusiasm and participation, have made an outstanding contribution to the Father Henry Carr community and have maintained a high academic standing.
The Lieutenant-Governor's Community Volunteer Award
A pin and certificate are awarded to a graduating student who has shown outstanding community involvement and has achieved the highest number of community involvement hours.
The McCarthy Award
A certificate and bursary are awarded to graduating students who embody the spirit of inclusion, social justice and equality through their participation in the celebration of diversity in the Father Henry Carr community.
The University of Toronto National Book Award
A book is awarded to a graduating student who demonstrates superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement.
The Schulich Leadership Award Nominee
A certificate is awarded to a graduating student who is recognized as the Father Henry Carr Schulich Leadership Scholarship Nominee and is pursuing STEM studies.
The Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario Student Award
A certificate and pin are awarded to a graduating student whose exemplary conduct, service and achievement merit the commendation of the Catholic education community of Ontario.
The Toronto Secondary Unit Graduating Student Award
A bursary and certificate are presented to a graduating student who has made significant contributions in the areas of social justice, community service and workplace safety.
OYAP Learn & Work Bursary
A bursary is awarded to a graduating student participating in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship & Cooperative Education Programs.
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program Award of Excellence
A certificate is awarded to a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional potential as an apprentice in a chosen field.
James and Mary Sullivan Bursary
A bursary is awarded to graduates that are commendable students and whose leadership and perseverance exemplify that of a FHC Catholic Graduate. These graduates have been accepted into a post-secondary program.
Anthony Laksmana Memorial Scholarship
A bursary is awarded to a graduating student who is held in high esteem within the school community, and demonstrates academic excellence and commitment to hard work. This graduate has been accepted into a post-secondary program and is pursuing a degree in Technology or Science.
The Rise in STEM Scholarship (Academic Excellence)
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating student attending college or university, who has demonstrated excellent academic achievement and commitment to leadership within their school and/or community.
The Rise in STEM Scholarship (Athletic Excellence)
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who has excelled in athletics while maintaining a strong academic standing and displaying a positive character, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field or court.
Rise In STEM Scholarship (Leadership Excellence)
This scholarship is awarded to graduating students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership through meaningful contributions to their school and/or community. These students show initiative, the ability to inspire and uplift others, and a commitment to personal growth and creating positive change.
The Banwell Bright Future Award
A bursary is awarded to an outstanding student who demonstrates exceptional academic excellence, strong leadership potential, and a deep commitment to community service.
The MECA Mechanical Trades Initiative Award
A bursary awarded to a student pursuing a career in a skilled trade. This student is in demonstrates a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, a passion for the trades, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
The Knight’s of Columbus Award
This student is motivated by their Catholic faith and has made themselves available for positions of leadership and responsibility in the chaplaincy, liturgical, and faith formation programs of Father Henry Carr.
The Catholic Parent Council Award
A bursary is awarded to a graduating student who exemplifies positive virtues within the FHC community for all students and administrators, and who has advocated for their fellow students on various aspects of their overall well-being throughout their school year.
The F. Malfitano Principal’s Award
Presented to a graduating student who has shown remarkable transformation and unwavering determination through consistent effort, resilience, and a commitment to personal growth over their four years at Father Henry Carr.
The Father Thomas Mohan Award (Honours)
A plaque is awarded to those graduates who began grade 9 at Father Henry Carr and have maintained an average of 90% or above in each year of high school.
