The Student Services Department provides support to students in the transition from elementary school into and throughout the secondary school years, as well as their journey towards college, university or the workplace. The department also helps maintain official records of all student academic achievement.
In addition, the Student Services staff counsel students with regard to personal issues and when appropriate refer them to the school youth worker, the visiting social worker, nurse or community services.
Counsellors assist in the investigation and planning of career opportunities and the transition to college, university or the workplace. They also welcome the chance to meet with parents and students over various concerns.
Scheduling an Appointment
All students are assigned to a counsellor by last name.
Students/parents may book an appointment through the guidance secretary. Appointments take place during the school
Just as in elementary school, parents are encouraged to maintain contact with their child’s classroom teachers by contacting the Main Office and leaving a message.
