Several Accelerated OYAP program offer students the opportunity to not only earn high school co-op credits and part or all of their Level 1 apprenticeship, but also offer students the potential to earn one, two or three “Dual Credits” in recognition of the college level work and training they engaged in.
EXPLORE COLLEGE WHILE YOU'RE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL!
Dual Credits are Ministry of Education approved courses that allow students, while still in secondary school, to take college courses that count towards both their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree, or a Certificate of Apprenticeship. Dual Credit courses are intended to assist students in completing their OSSD.
The TCDSB has partnerships with Centennial College, George Brown College, Humber Polytechnic, and Seneca Polytechnic to offer Dual Credit courses.
Students have unlimited access to all college facilities and services.
There is no cost for students (all expenses, including books, transportation, uniform, materials and equipment are covered).
Students are supported and monitored by Day-school contact, College facilitators, and Central Board staff.
