The Teaneck Community Charter School curriculum is grounded in the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), including the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Our learning environments emphasize collaboration, hands-on experiences, inquiry, and discovery, providing students with meaningful opportunities to identify problems, develop questions, and design solutions.
Through the three dimensions of science learning—Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts—students engage in authentic learning experiences that deepen their understanding of scientific phenomena. These experiences encourage students to think critically, apply knowledge, collaborate with others, and develop the skills necessary to investigate, explain, and solve real-world problems.
