STEM is Everywhere
Lesson One: STEM is Everywhere
This lesson supports students as they learn to notice STEM in the world around them. Through this lesson students will learn what STEM stands for and work collectively to identity examples of STEM in their everyday experiences and lives. Finally, students will choose an example of STEM to illustrate and contribute to a collaborative display called “STEM is Everywhere.” This is a great lesson to conduct in the first few weeks of school as a getting to know you activity!

Lesson Five: Collect a STEM Story
In this lesson, students will learn how people in their schools, families, and communities use STEM for their job or at home. To do this, students will interview someone about how they use STEM in their everyday lives and use this example as a STEM story. Finally, students will share their findings with their classmates. This lesson is best split up over the course of two days to give students time to interview someone in their home or community.
