Home learning
Please read our Home Learning Policy which details how we approach homework at TBS. We do not have set homework on set evenings, but we do expect our children to read every night. We ask you support your child with their home reading through showing an interest in the texts they have chosen, discussing books and stories with them, reading together and sharing your love of reading and books.

Reading together helps children understand stories a much deeper level. It also had a wider impact beyond reading as it creates moments of connection at home with family members as Rebecca Bellingham discusses in her Ted Talk on Why We Should Read Aloud to Children.
