Weekly Time Table

Our environment is play-based with carefully considered provision which helps to develop our 7 areas of learning.

For example, for our Mathematics area of development, fun learning opportunities are everywhere. To highlight a few possibilities, the children can explore shapes by making different arrangements with blocks and other materials. They can explore capacity and weight by measuring and comparing in the sand and water area. They can develop their knowledge of counting sequences when we play games such as "hide and seek" and their understanding of time by talking about a sequence of events when we discuss our daily timetable.

We also have short circle time sessions during the day. During these times we may read a story, talk about the day ahead, share a toy from home, play a listening game, play fun number games, sing number rhymes or other songs.

Additionally, we will have short, fun phonics sessions. We follow the Phonics Shed programme of delivering phonics and focus on Chapter 1 in Foundation 1. During this stage, the children undertake lots of fun activities which help to develop their listening and communication skills ready to learn letters and their sounds in Chapter 2.

We also have Specialist lessons on the following days:

Monday: PE and Music

Tuesday: PAWS and World Languages

Wednesday: Forest School and Library

Thursday: Nepal

Friday: PE
