Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ad hoc)

The primary assignment of the committee will be to:

Establish strategies and processes for initiating more individuals from underrepresented groups as Eminent Engineers.
Review the process for establishing chapters, given that current practice discourages outreach by the Association to schools without chapters.
Review resources for diversity and inclusivity.

This committee will hold its first meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 24. Refer to the Room Schedule for exact room. Members of the DEI Committee will serve as advisors to this group. The advisors to the committee will preside over the opening meeting and will ask the group to select the chair, who must be an appointed member of your committee.

Your chair will present the committee's report to the Convention at the Third Business Meeting on Saturday morning. This committee is responsible for informing the Convention of all background information it needs to act upon your report and recommendations.

Please provide electronic copies of all files, motions, reports, and proposals to the Convention Chair and Executive Director via email (tbp.convbus@tbp.org) prior to the Business Meeting when a report will be presented.
