Reflection # 1
Ancestry Inquiry
Reflect on how you went during your inquiry. What did you learn? i learned all about my ancestors. How do you feel about Inquiry? I am enjoying inquiry; but find it a bit hard at times.
Explain how you worked toward your goals and how it helped your learning. I worked towards being better at sports by playing a lot and practicing. What worked? listening better to the teacher. What didn’t? Contacting an expert. What will you do differently next time? I will contact an expert quicker next time.

My first Inquiry went.. Good and bad. I think this was because.. I wasn't very organized with my mothership, i didn't double check everything or get anyone to read it, to see if it all makes sense.
The Ancestry Inquiry was really useful as it taught me… All about my ancestor, and all of my family tree; on my mum and dad's side. I have never before seen a family tree from either side of my family before this inquiry.
How do I feel about Inquiry now that I’ve spent 5 weeks in it? Well I have to say… I think i am starting to get used to inquiry, but i need to stay more focused, and stay on task all the time or i will fall behind in my work.
One of my goals was to… Be a better listener. by working on this goal it helped me to improve my learning because it taught me… What to do and helped me to not fall behind.
The goal I did the best with was… Being a good listener. the reason it went so well was because… I listened better to instructions.
I was a bit frustrated with how one goal went because…. I didn't work fast enough.
Next time I will… Be more organized, get people to check my work, double check it myself, ask people what i missed out on, and if I'm away i try to keep up to the best i can. this will help me because…. I wont fall behind, i will know what i missed out on; knowing what i need to do to catch up, i will be able to get rid of silly mistakes by double checking my work; me and someone else.
Evidence of Term 1 goals being met.
Copy and paste all relevant evidence in the form of screenshots or written explanations of what was done to achieve your 4 goals for Term 1.
e.g. Test results, teacher feedback, parent feedback, peer feedback, your own explantion of things you did etc.
I played in a U15 Non-rep badminton tournament and won singles and doubles.
I managed to listen to my teachers better; not missing any information other than when i was away.
I was able to stay focused while doing my work better; later in the term when i realized i have problems focusing at times.
I managed to get pretty good test results all over the board; like for example in my midterm report i got at least good or very good in all my subjects, and also got an 4M in my ancestry inquiry.
