A step in the right direction
we arrive
Last week on Wednesday in the morning ( about 8:35 am ) two classes ( including mine ) embarked on a very good looking bus for Bowntown, a small beach village about an hours drive form Tauranga. When we arrived at the holiday park we were given a bit of a tour around and were told where we are allowed to go and where we weren't, after that we were told that we needed to go to where we would be pitching our tent... did I mention that we had to sleep in tent, yea it sucked. Thankfully the guy in our tent group had a three room tent so two in the side rooms and the middle for chilly bin and bags stuff like that. After we had put up the tent and made our beds we were called to the meeting area and were told that we had half an hour to get ready for the beach yes this was going to be good. It had been 45 minutes and we had just arrived, so first we had to do a swimming test at CAMP! which was a bit of a bummer because its a test and no one likes test but I did alright. So after that we did a few actives, some sport and headed back to camp. That's basically day one for you I mean after that we cooked dinner and Oh! we did a game called tally ho. Its basically capture the flag at night, it was fun I enjoyed it a lot.
Time to grow muscles
The next day was... I would say it was eventful, so I was laying in my sleeping bag half asleep when I here the horn go off ( the horn means you have to be at the meeting spot in 2 minutes or it push ups ). Immediately my instincts kicked in, I sprang out of bed waking up the guy beside me, " come on we have to go!" and leap to my bag and throw on the first clothes that come into my grasp next I carefully step over all the boys until I reach my shoes as fast as I can I open the tent to see people forming at the grass patch in the center of camp. I realize there is no way I'm getting push ups so I walk down and collapse into a setting position. As i set there and they talk I can't really hear what there saying ( because I just woke up ) but suddenly I make out the word exercise and remember, we have to go for a one km ran. They said this to us yesterday but I guess it just slept throw my mind. This wasn't going to fun...
Positive attitude questions
How did I display positive attitude on camp
In the morning of day two, when we had to do running, I didn't complain. I gave it my all, I tried not to run I only walk for the last little bit at the end. Other then that bit at the end, I felt nice after that, Another goal I had wasn't to come last. I mean I didn't expect to come first but there was no way I was going to let myself come last.
