Kentucky students in grades 6-12 are required to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability describe the ILP as "both a document and a process that students use – with support from school counselors, teachers, and parents – to define their career goals and post-secondary plans in order to inform their decisions about their courses and activities throughout (middle and) high school." Students at TCMS complete their ILP through our Career Facts or Teen Facts courses.
Your school counselor assists in the development of ILP lessons and is available to assist students with their ILP through classroom guidance and individual meetings.
Students at TCMS create a google site to develop their ILP.
College/Career Planning lessons can be found every Wednesday of our extended NTI day schedule.
