A team consists of twelve (12) players, with a maximum of seven (7) allowed on the field at any one time. These 7 players must include 2 girls. (This is not necessary for the Year 1 – 2 grade).
Players can be subbed on and off throughout the game. A player can go off and back on during a game as long as there are only 7 on the field. Coaches should try to sub their players when there is a pause in play e.g. the ball is out of play, a try has been scored.
