Students undertake one external assessment, consisting of either a Review (Research Project A) or an Evaluation (Research Project B).
Students prepare and submit:
a Review to a maximum of 1500 words (10 minutes for an oral presentation, or the equivalent in multimodal form)
or
an Evaluation, in written form, to a maximum of 1500 words.
In addition to this students in RPA or RPB submit:
a written summary of the research to a maximum of 150 words.

The Evaluation / Review constitutes 30% of the overall subject grade and is externally marked by SACE.
EVALUATION
E1 - Insightful evaluation of the research processes used, specific to the research outcome.
E2 - Critical evaluation of the decisions made in response to challenges and/or opportunities.
E3 - Insightful evaluation of the quality of the research outcome.
S3 - Clear and coherent expression of ideas.
REVIEW
R1 - Insightful review of knowledge and skills developed in response to the research question.
R2 - In-depth discussion of decisions made in response to challenges and/or opportunities.
R3 - Insightful reflection on the quality of the Research Outcome.
