My name is Carolyn Chariton. My certification is in Secondary 7th-12th Grade Mathematics. I was born in Louisville, Colorado and lived in the Denver Metroplex until I was 9 years old. My dad got a job in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex when I was 9 and that is when we moved to Texas. I graduated from Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 2015. In the fall of that same year, I started college at Tarrant County College. At the time, I did not know what I wanted to do but my degree was in mathematics. I spent 3-years at TCC and graduated with my Associate of Art in May 2018. While I was at TCC, I started a job as an Instructional Aid in the Math Emporium in emporium style classes. I started the job June 2017 and worked there until August 2019. In August 2018, I started school at Tarleton State University as a mathematics major as well as was hired on as a math tutor in the Math Clinic on campus. I worked in the Math Clinic until December 2020.
