Our mission

Tapestry is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to connect people to God and each other by curating and cultivating worship music that represents the musical diversity reflected in the body of Christ.

Our vision is to see the entire body of Christ - especially the next generation of believers - worship God with music that they love and is filled with the truth of the Bible.

Our Board of Directors:

Andrew Friedrichs, Founder and President

Andrew is a Christian musician who is passionate about worshiping the God of the Bible and loves to song-write, arrange, orchestrate, and produce music that serves this end. He's the Associate Worship Director at Village Seven Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, where he leads worship and helps create original worship music. He enjoys teaching music at Colorado Springs Conservatory and Pikes Peak State College. He loves spending time with his family (wife, Nina; son, Jackson; and dog, Wally), cooking, and a good cup of coffee.

Nina Friedrichs, Secretary

Nina is a professional clarinetist with the United States Air Force Academy Band based in Colorado Springs, CO. Prior to this position she was a freelance musician and member of the wind quintet, District5. She holds degrees in clarinet performance from the Eastman School of Music (BM '12) and the University of Maryland (MM '15). She enjoys being outside, playing board games or soccer, and learning how to build things- but mostly she enjoys any time with her husband, son and their dog, Wally!

Kelly Parker, Treasurer

Kelly has a professional background in sales and commercial services management working for Otis Elevator Company in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta. In addition, she has worked for nonprofit organizations serving foster care and adoptive families, at-risk youth, and adults. In her most recent position Kelly served as the Community Relations Manager at Springs Rescue Mission developing meaningful partnerships with churches, business, and organizations. In addition, Kelly has served as a lay leader in Children’s, Youth, and Women’s ministries. Kelly is married to Joe, a Family Discipleship Pastor, and has two teenage sons. Kelly holds a MA in Theology from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University).

Vince Hoppe, Board Member

Vince grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico as the son of an immigrant mother and a military father. He became a Christian while studying at New Mexico State University. He and his wife, Holly, worked in campus ministry for ten years prior to moving to Colorado Springs. They both attended Covenant Theological Seminary, where Vince graduated with his MDiv in 2016. Their love for the Western U.S. drew Vince, Holly, and their 4 children to Colorado Springs to plant a new church and see people continue to be reached with the life-changing message of Jesus. Vince enjoys cycling, fly-fishing, playing with his kids, and hanging out with his wife. He can often be found with his nose in a book at a coffee shop or having conversations with strangers at random places.

Burke Atkerson, Board Member

Burke is a real estate agent in Colorado Springs where he is constantly connecting with others, building relationships, and listening to them tell their stories. Before serving people in real estate, Burke served communities in South America as a missionary with The Navigators for over a decade. Prior to his time as a missionary, Burke toured the country in a Christian rock band and he has a passion for worship music that expresses the voices of Christians all around the world. Burke loves exploring the rugged wilderness of Colorado and spending quality time with his wife and four children.
