The Ailey dancers show a quiet strength and vulnerability in Jamar Roberts’s Ode that uses movement to evoke emotions that cannot be put into words. You’re invited to experience Ode, a flower on the graves of the innocent victims of gun violence and a meditation on the beauty and fragility of life.
Ode premieres online tomorrow at 7pm EDT and will be available to watch through Thursday, May 7 at 7pm EDT.

Why do we dance? African-American social dances started as a way for enslaved Africans to keep cultural traditions alive and retain a sense of inner freedom. They remain an affirmation of identity and independence. In this electric demonstration, packed with live performances, choreographer, educator and TED Fellow Camille A. Brown explores what happens when communities let loose and express themselves by dancing together.

Pilobolus's evening length shadow show, Shadowland. The first theatrical event of its kind, Shadowland is best described as part shadow act, part dance, part circus and part concert. The show incorporates Pilobolus's legendary approach to modern dance with high energy and fast-paced, multimedia innovation.
