All 10th-grade students have the exciting privilege of exploring the vast world of opportunities beyond High School.
For the first semester, students will rotate through four unique Strands: Arts & Entertainment; Science, Education, & Agriculture; Technology, Engineering, & Manufacturing; and Global Leadership, Tourism, & Civics. While exploring those topics, students will focus on the discovery and ownership of personal identity, passions, and aptitudes. To conclude the first semester, student will apply and interview for their choice of Strand for the second semester, submitting a résumé and cover letter.
Having been accepted to one of the four Strands, students during the second semester will design and complete a project, creating their own outcomes, timeline, and assessment. In addition, students will engage in financial literacy lessons and will develop and share a Presentation of Growth and Learning (POGLs).
