Mrs Douglas

Assistant Headteacher (SENDCo and Transition Lead) 

My name is Mrs Douglas and I am one of the Assistant Head teachers here at Tanfield school. I have taught at Tanfield since 2001 and have seen many changes to the school. My interests outside of school involve sport, in particular netball, football, cricket and gymnastics which are the sports which my children are involved in.

Hello Year 5 and welcome to our Transition Camp page. I understand that the transition from primary school to secondary school can be both exciting and overwhelming, but I want to reassure you that we will be by your side every step of the way. I have been working at Tanfield School for 12 years. In my spare time I like to explore the outdoors,  watch sports, and go paddleboarding.

Hello Year 5. My name is Miss Halpin and I am a Learning Support Assistant and former student here at Tanfield. Outside of school I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and with my dog, Luna

Hello, Year 5! My name is Miss Atter, and I'm one of the Learning Support Assistants here at Tanfield. Just like Miss Halpin, I used to be a pupil at Tanfield too, so it's really special to be back! When I'm not at school, I love going to concerts and festivals and enjoying live music. I'm so excited to meet you all and can't wait to be part of your journey!
