What will your child need to bring?

A smile and a willingness to 'give it a go'!

A packed lunch and a water bottle (a break is scheduled at 11am and lunch is scheduled at 12:15pm).

Any equipment needed to complete activities will be provided on the day. 

Suitable clothing should be worn. Please be mindful that students will complete a range of activities including PE and enrichment, so trainers will be required. It is also advised that your child brings some sunscreen. We will advise students to apply sunscreen at regular intervals, we cannot apply this for them. 

If your child requires any medication throughout their day, please ensure this is recorded during the registration process. We will then keep this safe until your child is collected at 3pm. 

Where do I go when I arrive?

When you arrive, one of our friendly staff will meet you at the visitors entrance. From here, we will register your child and take them to their designated area. 

Registration will open from 9:45am for a 10am start. 

Parents/carers are to collect their child from the visitors entrance at 3pm. 

Our visitor car park will be open through the day.  

If you are coming to us on foot, the main gate adjacent to the visitors entrance will be open.

*Please note, our car park is quite small so parking is not guaranteed. 

Drop off and pick up times?

Registration will open from 9:45am for a 10am start. 

Pick up time is 3pm from the visitors entrance. Your child will be signed out and any medication etc. will be issued back to you. 

Risk Assessments and First Aid Procedures

All risk assessments can be found on the Tanfield School website.

All staff on site are first aid trained. 

Please ensure all medical needs and/or allergies are recorded during the registration process. If required, a follow up phone call can be arranged to discuss your child's needs further.
