This policy sets out the approach to providing alarm code holders with alarm access to the Tanfield Railway.
The Tanfield Railway Company Ltd (TRCo) will be responsible for issuing alarm codes and monitoring alarm code information
All codes that are provided by the TRCo are the responsibility of the alarm code holder.
Alarm codes are uniquely identified and should not be shared with anyone. If it’s found your code has been shared, your privileges will be immediately revoked.
If an alarm code holder ceases to be an active volunteer, the code will be immediately revoked.
The person who disarms the site or part of takes responsibility for ensuring the site, or part of is re-armed at the end of the working day.
If you trigger the alarm you should disarm the alarm and notify the security group that a false alarm has been triggered, Security group details can be found in the back office, AH and ET Stations
An alarm holder may leave the site & buildings open only if they pass full responsibility to another recognized alarm holder with their agreement
If the responsible alarm holder has to leave the site and no other alarm holder is available, they should contact a member of the security group prior to leaving the site. The phone numbers of members of the security group can be found in the back office, AH and ET Stations
If the alarm holder loses their code, or believes it has been identified by another user they should immediately contact the security group for a replacement code.
