This overview will walk you through the basic requirements and methods to begin implementing generative AI into your visual presentation design. You will be taught how to create, generate, customize, and present a slideshow enhanced with the power of AI and be given tips to make your utilization of this tool effective. 1. Toggle to the Home Screen (IMAGE 1)

2. On the dashboard, click “New from blank” and from the drop-down select the desired presentation style (IMAGE 2)

Default: Best for short, visual slides (e.g., club announcements or event flyers)

Traditional: Ideal for class presentations or lectures

Tall: Great for text-heavy content like research summaries or how-to guides 

3. In the prompt box, type a few sentences describing your topic.
   Example: “A 5-slide presentation on climate change solutions”

4. Click “Generate”  and wait for Gamma to build a first draft (IMAGE 3)

5. Provide a description of what you want generated in the prompt, and select a template

Example: “Beginning of Texas A&M University” with “Magic” template (IMAGE 4)

1. Click on any text block to edit

2. Use the right-hand toolbar to change layout, font, or theme

3. Drag and drop images, charts, or polls from the Insert panel to enhance your content.

4. Click the “Preview” button at the top to see what your finished slides will look like.

Tip: Don’t just rely on the AI-generated slides — use them as a starting point, then make edits to match your voice and assignment goals. Instructors value originality and clarity.

1. Click “Share” in the top-right → choose between Collaborate, Share, Export, or Embed

Collaborate: Invite teammates to edit the presentation together (great for group projects).

Share: Create a link you can send to classmates, instructors, or friends.

Export: Download a copy to submit to a professor or upload to Canvas (prevents others from editing).

Embed: Get an embed code to add your Gamma presentation to a blog or website.

2. Toggle access privileges depending on your audience
   
   

To present your slideshow, click “Present” in the top-right corner of the screen. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate between slides.

Use AI Import if imported content can be altered/enhanced with AI (IMAGE 2)

Use Plain Import if you want no alterations to the content (IMAGE 3)

2. Select “Upload”  or “Import” depending on where content is from
   
   

3. Wait a few seconds while Gamma processes the file
   
   

4. Once loaded, your presentation will appear as editable Gamma slides
   
   

5. You can now customize, rearrange, or enhance the design using Gamma’s editor; Refer to Step 3 and beyond
