Rifat Tabassoom Tumpa
Rifat Tabassoom Tumpa is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Architecture in Texas A&M University. Her research interest focuses to high-performance facade design, daylighting optimization, parametric analysis and energy-efficient strategies. She is also working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the department.
Rifat completed her M.Sc. in Energy-efficient and Environmental Building Design from Lund University, Sweden with prestigious Swedish Institute Study Scholarship (SISS, 2017-2019). She holds a B. Arch. degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Rifat is interested to have her career in academia. She is an Assistant Professor in the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Gazipur (DUET), where she has an active teaching career of six years. Currently, she is on study-leave from her work.
