Our team member, Tasbeeh M. Alaqtum, presented on August 5th, 2025 at the Solar 2025 Conference in Boulder, Colorado. The titled of her presentation is "Comparative Analysis of Net-Zero Energy and Well-Lit Schematic Design Layouts for Homes in Semi-Arid Regions."
Dr. Beltrán presented at the CIE 2025 Midterm Meeting in Vienna, Austria on July 8, 2025. Her presentation highlighted the non-visual daylighting performance of a newly constructed single-story house she designed in a hot and humid climate in Texas. The measured Melanopic Equivalent Daylighting Illuminance (M-EDI) exceeded the recommended minimum recommended 250 M-EDI under clear sky conditions by a factor of 2 to 6.

Luming's research focuses on the development of an AI-Driven Daylighting Support System, based on A Comprehensive 3D Grid-Based Multi-Directional Metamodel.
Congratulations to our team member, Antonio Vazquez-Molinary, on successfully passing the final examination for his PhD dissertation on May 12, 2025! His groundbreaking research on Multi-objective Optimization of Windcatcher Performance for Natural Ventilation and Daylighting in a Tropical Hot and Humid Climate Using Parametric Modeling marks a significant contribution to the field of sustainable architecture. We look forward to the impact his work will have on advancing climate-adaptive design practices.
