All of my research is built upon understanding perspectives outside of my own, even if there are some things I may not agree with. I follow a constructivist approach because I value contextual understanding, the world is not black and white so I do not want to treat reasoning as such. I will do the best thing for the study, but also I will do my best to fit a constructivist approach into my research methods.
I prefer to conduct my research through qualitative methods, this is because of its personable appeal. I am a very good listener and someone who can carry a conversation, so getting to really interview someone and get their views is a great strength of mine. I am in a branch of the Communication major, and my ability to communicate in person and digitally has continued to grow every day, impacting my research to be the best it can be. Throughout my Research Methods course at A&M, my understanding of how to plan every step of research has grown exponentially. Conducting my own interviews with codes, transcripts, and analysis has helped my research ability evolve immensely to where I am a capable researcher with personable plusses.
