WICOR is an instructional approach that clearly defines the value of writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. 

Each component of WICOR includes specific strategies that engage students in skill-building to take ownership and have agency of their thinking and learning. 

WICOR strategies provide students with opportunities to demonstrate what they know and what they can do with rigorous course content, which in turn builds skills and behaviors that support college and career readiness.
