AVID is a program dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college and other postsecondary opportunities. In each grade level, an AVID elective is offered to provide students with additional academic, social, and emotional support that will help them succeed in rigorous courses in pursuit of college and career readiness.
The AVID program focuses on community-building as well as skill-building for note-taking, time management, organization, and study skills that revolve around and integrate: Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR).
