I grew up in Stanford, California, and have lived in Switzerland for more than half of my life. I speak Swiss German and "high" German. I studied archetypal psychology with David Miller, author of "Gods and Games". My dissertation showed how to distinguish psychotherapy from theology. I practice psychotherapy in Winterthur and teach at the Jung Institute and the International School of Analytical Psychology in Zurich. I have translated books by Verena Kast and Mario Jacoby and have been an editor for the Jung Journal at the University of California Press. I write and teach on the subject of animal symbolism. My license for the Canton of Zurich qualifies my work to be paid by standard health insurance.
