Musical Theater I & II
This is a wonderful class to introduce your student to acting, singing, and dancing all while putting on a show for an audience in the spring. We will learn about stage movement and blocking, characterization, how to sing and dance at the same time, as well as how to audition and be confident as a soloist and ensemble member. We will learn about staging, props, costumes, and scenery, and how to put your best face forward. We learn through games, improv, ad-lib, and singing. Each student will have a small part to perform in the show in the spring.
Since this is a performance-based class, if your student will be absent more than 2 times per semester, please consider another class. Musical Theater Class dances daily. Moderate to fast Choreography is taught with each song. Students must wear appropriate clothes to move around and dance. Please consider acting or drama classes if this does not fit your student's lifestyle.

Musical Theater III
In Musical Theater III, students will continue the study of actor/singer/dancer and use their knowledge to develop as performers. Students will ad-lib, create scenes, improv, and work as soloists and ensembles during the first semester. There will also be a focus on the audition process, and each student will audition with scenes and a solo from the chosen musical for the spring performance. We will discuss props, costumes, scenery, and tech support, and each student will assist in the production of our show.
Since this is a performance based and team membership class, if your student needs to miss more than two classes per semester, please consider another class.
