Expression in Digital-Cinema is a class that welcomes students with big ideas, passion for visual design, and love for hands-on videography. Through principles of design such as balance, color, texture, and space, students will produce video project(s) while learning how to collaborate with other creative minds and execute a shared vision. This class will utilize camera equipment, props, fog machines, lighting, and video editing software to bring a semester-long video project(s) together. Students will be expected to contribute to the filmmaking process. Higher-level camera operating experience is not required, as there will be different roles for students with different skills. However, an introduction to operating video cameras and editing software will be provided.

Technicians are an integral part of the worship ministry. This class will prepare teens to serve the local church in the technical arts of sound, lights, computer lyrics, and camera work. Students will study different types of common audio cables and sound boards, and basic lighting instruments for theatrical and church services and productions. The industry standard computer lyrics program, ProPresenter, will be overviewed and techniques discussed for worship leading from that position. The end of the year will include camera basics for DSLR videography and GoPro documentation of live events, with video editing in Final Cut Pro software, and music mixing in Pro Tools software using files and footage captured from TAFA showcases and alumni interviews.Â
