Summit: Stop 3 of LeaderPath
We all influence people. As Christians, we are called to influence others towards Christ. That is Leadership
Summit is the third stop on the LeaderPath journey. Summit is about changing our approach from a passive church member to an active agent of our mission. Summit covers our philosophy of Leadership development, DNA in action, our Identity, leadership, and living out our values. This group meets for 8 consecutive weeks on Sunday afternoons and starts once or twice quarterly. To attend Summit, group members must have attended and completed Trailhead.
Handout for weeks 1-8 of Summit
Video for Week 1: Lays the foundation for the next 7 weeks by establishing objective language and explaining why leadership is crucial to the mission of the church.
Video for Week 2: Discusses the vision, mission, and first 3 core values of the church that we aspirationally pursue as a guiding force for our church. The values call us to follow Jesus.
Video for Week 3: Covers the remaining core values and discusses how these values call us to love people and build leaders. This week finishes with how our influence impacts the people around us.
Video for Week 4: Discusses our identity in Christ and establishes how the Bible describes people as made in the image of God and inherently relational beings. This perspective serves to influence how we serve and love the people we lead.
Video for Week 5: Discusses the tendency many of us have to try to correct others before we are healthy in that area, and how to avoid this. This week builds on the idea that leaders are meant to call others up from a place of maturity and health.
Video for Week 6: Shines a light on how people tend to become so busy that they fail to take time to rest, which can lead to unhealthy tendencies in their lives. This week provides a tool to evaluate where we might be experiencing a warning sign about our health.
Video for Week 7: Outlines the leadership structure at Tab and how adopt the perspective of leadership as a sacrificial serving and support for the people we lead.
Video for Week 8: Finishes off the series by describing the risk we face by blocking someone's path to Jesus and how we are called to balance the truth of the Gospel with love in everything that we do.
