Using Radioactive Isotopes

Here is a refresher on radioactive isotopes, know what they are and how we can use them to determine the age of rock samples.

In today's lab you will be counting beads that represent the parent and daughter isotopes in our "rock" sample. Count the beads, to determine the percentage of parent isotope and calculate the age of the sample. Graph the decay rate, and daughter accumulation rate on a grid.
