This November, our library theme is NovemBEAR: Winnie the Pooh.
We are grateful for all of our gifts this month, including our bravery, strength, and intelligence because we at BLG are "braver than we believe, stronger than we seem, and smarter than we think!"
Each month our library activities revolve around the monthly theme to keep our space fresh and fun!Â
On November 1st we celebrate All Saints Day, a Catholic holiday recognizing the many saints in heaven who have dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ and His mission. To coincide with Veterans' Day on November 11th, we are learning about Saint Martin of Tours, the patron saint of soldiers and veterans who shared the importance of peace and resolving conflict.

Our makerspace features "brain break" activities to practice hands-on critical thinking skills, fine motor skills, and creativity. This month, students can celebrate World Origami Day (November 11th) by making colorful fall leaves through origami.
Each month we feature a book display of titles on our library shelves, and this month we are highlighting books from our collection that feature Native American authors or characters from both fiction and nonfiction for Native American Heritage Month.
Our students can check in with Pooh's friend Owl to learn some new vocabulary and brush up on reading comprehension.
