This December our library theme is Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Library.
We rocked around the bookmas tree this Christmas and focused on “putting our learning to the test” in the classroom. Mrs. Sandroni’s English classes participated in a book tasting, sampling new reads from five different genres.
Each month our library activities revolve around the monthly theme to keep our space fresh and fun!
Our students learned about the Swedish tradition of Santa Lucia Day in celebration of Saint Lucy and the global celebrations of Christmas.
Our makerspace features "brain break" activities to practice hands-on critical thinking skills, fine motor skills, and creativity. This month, students can build our Lego gingerbread house to add to our Lego Christmas village!
Each month we feature a book display of titles on our library shelves, and this month we are highlighting books from our collection that are known for their epic "adventures in the great wide somewhere."
Our winter writing contest allowed our students to have some creative fun before break by imagining their own Christmas song or legend.
