The dynamic landscape of Catholic education requires the ongoing identification and formation of quality future leaders, capable of dealing with a diversity of challenges. There is a need to ensure that our schools are not only centres of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, but also vibrant faith communities.
In Catholic Schools at a Crossroads, the Bishops of NSW/ACT committed that our schools should be:
• truly Catholic in their identity and nature;
• centres of ‘New Evangelisation’; and
• led and staffed by people who will contribute to these two goals.
In light of these goals and the overall vision and mission of our system, priority is given to religious leadership.
