ladd (living arrangements for the developmentally disabled)

About: LADD provides a variety of programs and residential services for people with disabilities, from young adults just leaving high school to older adults who qualify for senior services. The community-based services are unique in the way we teach independent living skills that will help people become self-sufficient and less dependent on others. Eligibility: Individuals must be eligible for services provided by: Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS), Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Waivers (HCBS), Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC), the Ticket to Work Program or Local Public Housing Authority/HUD programs. Contracting privately for any LADD service is also an option.

ohio valley residential services (ovrs)

About: OVRS has residences throughout Hamilton County, giving clients more options about where to live so they can live as close as possible to their families. OVRS also has small apartment buildings as well as traditional group homes and Shared Living, giving clients a greater choice about housing styles.

Eligibility: The decision about where to live usually starts with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services. It assigns a service facilitator to work with individuals and families to select one of the organizations in the county that provide residential services to people with developmental disabilities.

Meanwhile, OVRS is always glad to discuss our services directly with potential clients and their families. We also offer tours of our residences.
