Xavier Economic Society (XES), is hereby constituted on 30th May 2024 under the aegis of IQAC, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. The portrait of Adam Smith, the Father of Economics, is included in the society's logo. The original portrait of Smith was created in 1787 by James Tassie.
