Siemens offers educations over 100 activities for use in the classroom. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are included in the activities. Activities can be filtered by grade level, category, or career path. This site is easy to navigate and offers many great ideas.
Chess is so much more than just a game! It requires knowledge of math, logic and strategy skills, planning, patience, and sportsmanship. It is one of my favorite activities to teach and play.
Now you can add technology skills to the mix of skills developed by learning and teaching chess. At lichess.org you can learn to play chess in an interactive, online format. lichess.org teaches the basics and gives students an opportunity to practice their skills; they can track their progress, and then play with others online.
