Week 4 Grade 2
This week in Technology Class Second Grade Students:
Continued to practice signing in to their Chromebooks. In addition, second grade students are learning that they need to close all tabs and shut down their Chromebooks properly when they are done using them.
Students may use their cards with their lunch number and Date of Birth to help them remember the numbers. Students are encouraged to memorize these numbers so that they don't need to use the cards. I will continue to provide the other information needed to sign-in, however to keep accounts safe, the personal information needs to be memorized if possible.

In addition, second grade students are:
Learning how to use the touchpad on their Chromebook in place of an external mouse
Learning to use directional words~left, right, top, bottom, diagonal, horizontal, & vertical
Learning new vocabulary related to using a Chromebook & a touchpad: monitor, CPU, keyboard, touchpad, right-click, left-click, scroll, select text
Practicing proper keyboarding skills using typing.com
