After several years of teaching at the elementary level, I felt called to broaden my impact by moving into educational administration, first serving as Vice Principal and then Principal in the Clementon School District. I was then honored to join the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District, where I spent many years as Principal of the Margaret Clifford School—an experience that allowed me to build lasting relationships with students, families, and staff. In 2018, I was privileged to step into the role of Chief Academic Officer, where I continue to serve with a deep commitment to supporting the academic growth and well-being of every child in our district. As a proud mom of three wonderful children, I understand firsthand the hopes, dreams, and challenges families experience, and I carry that perspective into every decision I make. It is my greatest joy to work alongside our dedicated educators and families to ensure all students are inspired, challenged, and celebrated.
My career began as a special education teacher and ACES interventionist in the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District. After ten years as a teacher, I transitioned into the full time Instructional Facilitator position. After almost five years in that role, I was offered a full time faculty position at Rowan College of South Jersey to create and instruct the 3+1 Inclusive Education Program for preservice teachers working towards obtaining their Elementary Education and Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certifications. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Education at Wilmington University with a focus on wanting to make positive changes to how pre-service teachers are supported at the collegiate level.
