Social Studies

In Grades K–2, our learners will integrate social studies strategies directly from the HMH Into Reading program, building knowledge and critical thinking skills through engaging informational texts. These lessons will be supplemented with hands-on activities and discussions aligned to New Jersey Social Studies Standards, helping students make real-world connections to topics such as community, history, geography, and citizenship. By combining literacy instruction with meaningful social studies content, our youngest learners develop strong reading skills while deepening their understanding of the world around them.

TCI’s social studies textbooks and curriculum are thoughtfully designed with engaging activities, ELA integration, and easy-to-use materials. Students explore the fundamentals of the world -- its communities, people, and cultures -- with hands-on, engaging social studies lessons.
