Governor Charles C. Stratton School Stellar Comets

First Grade Stellar Comets: February 2024

Kason Yang

Ms. Gwinn

Kason has proven to be one of the hardest working students in our 1st grade class. Since September, Kason has gained so much confidence and enjoys collaborating with his peers. He may seem quiet at first, but once you get him going, he has an abundance of insightful ideas to share! Kason is eager to learn more about each subject and the world in general, and I often use him as a model student to show the rest of the class what they should be doing at any given moment. One of my favorite things to witness about Kason is the fact that he does not rush on any assignment. He takes his time to ensure that he understands the material and always adds his own extra flair. Kason works well with all of his classmates, and I can see that they all recognize his positive qualities, too. We love having you in class, Kason. Congrats!

Isabella Pagnotta

Mrs. Jones/Mrs. Warner

Isabella is so deserving of the title of Stellar Comet. Each day, she comes into school with a big smile on her face. Her love of reading, writing, and learning is evident in the classroom. She is a hard worker and always tries her best in everything she does. Not only is she a dedicated student, but she is also an amazing friend. Isabella is kind to everyone and is always willing to help others. She makes an effort to make her friends feel loved and included. She shows model behavior in the classroom, and we are so proud of her! We know she will continue to do AMAZING things! Great work, Isabella!

Second Grade Stellar Comets: February 2024

Nicholas Shinn

 Ms. Morgan Moore

Nick is a role-model student and shows what a Stellar Comet is everyday! He tries his best on everything that he does and isn’t afraid to ask questions when he has them. He is always willing to help out other classmates and is a strong leader in our classroom. With his words and actions, he always demonstrates the traits of respect and kindness and encourages his peers to do the same. Whenever he is working with a partner or in a group, I know that Nick will show what great teamwork looks like, no matter who he is paired with. Nick has the special ability to make everyone around him feel that they can reach their full potential and I know that will bring him far in life! Our class family feels so lucky to have Nick in our class this year and couldn’t imagine the year without him. Congratulations Nick!

McKayla DeRemigi

Ms. Seal/Ms. Zappasodi

We can think of no one better to represent a stellar comet than McKayla. She comes to school every day with so much energy and a great attitude. She is always wanting to learn more and puts her best foot forward every day. Not only does she work really hard, she is also a great friend and classmate. She is willing to help anyone. She is always there to make sure that everyone feels included, and is respectful of everyone, even when she thinks no one is watching. We feel so lucky to be a small part of her educational journey and we know no matter what she takes on, she will be successful. Congratulations McKayla and keep up the great work!!
