In our class, we encourage independent reading by allowing students to choose a book that is of interest to them.  It is important for your child to build reading stamina over the course of the school year to develop reading skills. Your child will fill out a weekly reading log and return it to us every Monday.  Your child will keep a record of the minutes read and you will acknowledge the reading by initialing the log.
