In our classroom we foster a safe and positive learning environment.  Our classroom rules are student created and established the first week of school.

Students can earn tickets for displaying positive behaviors such as respect, kindness, safety, helpfulness, and manners.  When students receive a ticket, they write their name on the ticket and place it in a bin.  Each week, we pull 5 winners from the ticket bin.  Those winners get to choose a prize from our classroom prize box.  At the end of the month, we pull one winner from the ticket bin to receive the "Mystery of the Universe" prize.  At the end of the month, all tickets get placed into the school fish bowl for a chance to win the school wide prize.

In addition to earning tickets, students can earn ClassDojo points for similar behaviors plus participation points.  The student with the most points at the end of each week, is the Star Student the following week. As the Star Student, students get to bring in 3-5 personal items to share with the class at the end of the week. In addition, the Star Student takes a picture in front of the "You Should Be Proud" board.
